Frequently Asked Spray Tan Questions

How long does it last?

Typically 5-7 days, although proper homecare is essential for the longevity of your tan.

Is a spray tan safe?

Spray tanning has been approved for external use by the FDA. You should avoid getting it in your eyes, nose or mouth. We recommend you close your eyes and mouth while we carefully mist your face.

Can I still get a sunburn?

YES! Spray tan solutions do not contain sunblock, so we encourage you to protect your skin if exposed to the sun.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

Shower shave & exfoliate! Shave & exfoliate the day before (or at least 8 hours prior). Avoid lotions, oils, makeup & deodorant the day your appointment.

When should I shower afterwards?

It depends if you choose an 8 hour rinse or a rapid rinse. If you choose an 8 hour rinse, then we recommend waiting at least 8 hours to shower. The rapid solution will allow you to shower within 2 to 4 hours. It is important to avoid getting wet, exfoliating, sweating, or application of any products or lotions before your 1st shower.

Can I get a mani + pedi afterwards?

We recommend scheduling beauty & spa services at least 24 hrs before your appointment. If you must get your nails polished, definitely wait until the next day. Be sure to inform your technician to work on your nail beds only. NO soak! NO scrub!
